flash, what do you see?
"[...] the men in this condition couldn't considerate anything truth except the shadow of the objects [...]."*

(conceptual video inspired in the work Beautiful Strangers of Peter Zelewski.)
The information are constantly received by our sensorial mechanism: an audio, a texture, a image; everything is processed and translated by our cognitive system where they are assimilated by our neural structure.
However, the speed and the amount of information received has overloaded our perception requiring exponentially more of our cognitive system.
During our daily routine, we are bombed with lots of information and the fatigue prevent us to really digest these information.
With a lot of information and few absorption of them, they in first instance become ephemeral due to the lacking of disposal to digest them.
We could point some superficiality mainly because the images become the cape from where we take the main lines and singularities, not going deeper.
Like a FLASH that blinks bringing a quick and empty perception in the middle of the darkness.

Images
Seeing the role of images in social media and in the physical world we can say how full of information they can be, but yet they paradoxically loose their importance to become a unity full of information between thousands of them. They loose their singularities due to the travelling speed around the physical and virtual world. Therefore, people become only able to automatically capture part of what they see, something, the conclusion of what they see become too shallow.
*Allegory of the Cave (Plato)
This allegory is an excerpt from the book "The Republic" of the philosopher Plato. It talks about prisoners that since they were born, they live arrested in a cave. They are locked in a way they only are able to see the back wall which is illuminated by a fire behind them. In this wall shadows of several objects and beings are projected. The prisoners get used to name the figures by analysing the images.
Analogously, this phenomenon has subtly happening stronger and more intense. The pretrial and analyse of people and situation are lacking a holistic view. From a shallow, quick and limited contact people are making concepts, ideas and archetypes only by things' contours. So, then, sadly the contour becomes the true.
CONCEPT:
a cave that answers to the stimulation of its habitants blinking flashes that gives them a shallow perception of the place the live and the people who are there too.

1
started by drawing a plan of a basic geometry shape.

2
the chosen figure (triangle) is because of the number of visitor per experience and also because of the angle in its vertices make more difficult to see who is going to enter in the other site.

3
each visitor has one access by one narrow corridor - with the walls full of sensors - that leads to the darker core of the installation where the flashes blinks according to the encounters between the visitors and corridors' walls.
