a systematic proposal composed by a information center and a system of parklets to organize the cultural, commercial and social information of Bom Retiro neighbourhood in São Paulo.

Since Bom Retiro neighbourhood has lots of commerce and cultures, we were supposed to bring a solution that could visually organize the neighbourhood.
I chose to implement a system of location and orientation around the Bom Retiro. This system would be composed by an information center, parklets spread around the neighbourhood and a digital research system - an application which could facilitate moving around the neighbourhood and presenting it to new visitors. The whole system has as the management and operating headquarters the Information Center, giving to it a very importante role of promoting meetings to organize the neighbourhood and making the first presentation of the neighbourhood to new visitors.
Therefore, this project becomes complete mainly by two objects: the Information Center and the parklets spread in the Bom Retiro neighbourhood.
INFORMATION CENTER
The main goal of this Information Center is to give space, equipments and, consequently, new proposals to improve the neighbourhood making it more accessible. Because of it, there was the necessity of finding a good spot which allowed the implantation of a Information Center in the Bom Retiro.
The chosen building sit was right in the beginning of the main accessing street from the public transport: José Paulino Street. And the program of this building was divided in 3 parts: one devoted to the visitors, other to the neighbour (tradespeople, sellers, culture promoters and so on), and another one to the management of this whole operating. So, it was determinated that each floor is corresponding to one of this programs.

PARKLETS
Besides sharing the Information Center's main goal (make the neighbourhood more accessible) by acting as a complementary element to this new information system of Bom Retiro, the parklets aims to expand and qualify the public space giving to the visitors not only access to information by interactive and digital screen and wi-fi, but it also can be used as a resting place during the shopping, for example.
